What NotebookLM Does

Setting Up a Notebook for a Course

Step 1: Create a notebook

Go to notebooklm.google.com and create a new notebook. Name it after your course (e.g., "Biology 201" or "European History").

Step 2: Upload your sources

You can upload up to 50 sources per notebook:

What NotebookLM Doesn't Do Well

Cross-notebook learning: Each notebook is separate. Your Biology notes can't reference your Chemistry notes, even if concepts overlap.

Long-form writing: NotebookLM helps with research and organization, but don't use it to write your papers for you. That's academic dishonesty.
