Joining StoryNest is simple and quick. You can sign up using:

• Google Account: One-click sign in for secure authentication.

To sign up, simply click the Sign In button at the top right of any page.

Your profile is your home on StoryNest. It tells readers who you are and showcases your work.

1. Click on your avatar in the top navigation bar.
2. Select Profile to view your public page.
3. To edit your details, go to Settings > Profile or click the Edit Profile button if you are viewing your own profile.

You can customize:

• Display Name: How you appear to others.
• Bio: A short description (max 160 chars) about yourself.
• Avatar: Click on your avatar to upload a new picture.
• Social Links: Link your Twitter, GitHub, or personal website.

StoryNest features a powerful, distraction-free block editor powered by Tiptap.

Key Concepts

• Bubble Menu: Highlight any text to see formatting options like Bold, Italic, Highlight, and Link.
• Markdown Shortcuts: We support standard markdown:
  • # Heading 1
  • ## Heading 2
  • - Bullet list
  • 1. Numbered list
  • > Blockquote
  • ``` Code block

Images

You can add images in three ways:

1. Upload: Drag and drop an image into the editor.
2. Unsplash: Use the plus (+) menu to find and insert free high-quality photos.
3. Paste: Directly paste an image from your clipboard.

Click on an inserted image to resize it (Small, Medium, Large) or change its alignment.

Once your masterpiece is ready:

1. Click the Publish button in the top right corner.
2. Add Tags: Select up to 5 tags to help readers discover your story.
3. Preview: Check how your story card will look in the feed.
4. Confirm: Hit Publish! Your story will be live instantly.

Your work is automatically saved to your local device as you type. You can find your drafts in the Stories section of your profile or directly by visiting /me/stories.

The Home Feed is tailored to your interests.

• For You: A mix of trending stories and topics you follow.
• Following: Stories exclusively from authors and tags you follow.

To improve your recommendations, follow more authors and tags that interest you.

Found a story you want to read later? Bookmark it!

• Click the Bookmark icon on any story card or article page.
• It will be saved to your Library.

Authors: Click the "Follow" button on an author's profile or next to their name on an article.
Topics: Click on any tag (e.g., #Technology) to see its page, then click "Follow" to see more of that topic in your feed.

StoryNest is a place for thoughtful conversation. We ask all members to:

• Be Respectful: Treat others with kindness, even when verified disagreements occur.
• No Hate Speech: We have zero tolerance for harassment, hate speech, or discrimination.
• Original Content: Share your own work. Plagiarism is not allowed.

If you see content that violates our guidelines, please report it via the "Report Story" option in the article menu (three dots).
